The busy areas of this painting represent the mania that goes along with bipolar disorder, while the quiet areas represent the mind trying to return to a normal state. My manias are accompanied with racing thoughts, an elevated mood, tons of ideas, and an abundance of energy.
Art has the ability to quiet my mind and bring me back to the present.
